Les Evans is on a mission to share stories of resilience through the trauma experienced by thousands of business owners and entrepreneurs across the world who saw their business and livelihoods decimated by the CV lockdown measures implemented world wide.

“Prior to 2020, I had a career and lifestyle that millions of people only dream about.” A highly-in-demand professional speaker and business coach travelling to 24 countries, Les was working with some of the most famous and powerful people in the world. And just as he was about to launch a worldwide 2020 inspirational speaking tour, all of that came crashing down. “Not only did I lose a fortune financially, but I lost clients who went broke losing their businesses. Worst of all I lost a dream career of doing what I was absolutely destined to do.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Les came from humble beginnings. “I’m kind of half city boy and half farm kid” he says. “A lot of young Canadian kids want to be hockey stars, I wanted to be a rock star.” Les started playing music professionally all over Alberta at a very young age, but he had to work at it. “My Dad payed for my drum lessons, but I played on a rubber drum pad and cardboard boxes for 2 years until I passed two exams before he bought my first drum set at age 11. When I turned 14 he saw how serious he was and for my 14th birthday he bought me my first professional set - and that was it. He told my brother James and I that if we wanted anything else, we’d have to work for it on our own. So my very first business was playing in a band. And by age 19 we were touring all over the province in a 5 ton truck with $50,000 worth of sound and lighting equipment. To me music was a business”.

Les’s entrepreneurial drive led him to building an investment company in Canada and expanding it to the USA before selling out to his partner. But as glamorous and enticing as it sounds to be your own boss, it came with a heavy price. “At age 50 I was burned out and fed up. Helping other entrepreneurs a s a speaker and coach learn from my mistakes and how to persist against all odds was incredibly impactful to me - something that I took very seriously.”

Today, Les is once again inspiring entrepreneurs and business people with his personal story of the trauma of losing all that you’ve worked for. “As hard as it was, I’d like to think my experiences inspire people, because it’s the story of coming from nothing, making it to the top, having it all, losing it all, then reinventing yourself into the biggest comeback story ever. “
